What is Lincoln BlueCruise?
Previously called "Lincoln Active Glide," Lincoln BlueCruise is an optional feature that augments Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with hands-free highway driving capability. The technology is limited to prequalified sections of divided highways called Hands-Free Blue Zones. Currently, Lincoln BlueCruise functions on over 130,000 miles of North American roads.
When on a Blue Zone highway, Lincoln BlueCruise can autonomously control the acceleration, braking, and steering without input from the driver. Once activated, a graphic will appear in the instrument cluster with the text "Hands-Free," letting you know when it's safe to remove your hands from the steering wheel. An infrared driver-facing camera monitors the driver's head position and eye gaze to ensure they remain attentive to the surroundings.
Which Lincoln SUVs Offer Lincoln BlueCruise?
- 2023 Lincoln Navigator: Lincoln's full-size luxury SUV introduced Lincoln Active Glide for the 2022 model year. Lincoln BlueCruise is included in Lincoln Navigator Reserve and available for Lincoln Navigator Standard.
- 2023 Lincoln Corsair: A midcycle refresh for 2023 brought hands-free driving capability to the Lincoln Corsair lineup for the first time. Available for all Lincoln Corsair models, Lincoln BlueCruise 1.2 is the latest iteration of the technology, adding the convenience of Lane Change Assist and In-Lane Repositioning.
- 2024 Lincoln Nautilus: Arriving in North American showrooms early next year, Lincoln's midsize luxury crossover will be all-new for its third generation. Updates include more refined accommodations, a bold new look, and upgraded features, including Lincoln BlueCruise 1.2.
